A person's basic needs are food, water, oxygen, and shelter.
Defintion of 'subsistence'; "The action or fact of maintaining or supporting one self at the minimum level".

Subsistence is an open world first person, multiplayer or open world (up to 64 players) survival game. In the game, survival doesn't come easy, you need to use the game's crafting mechanic to make a base to live in. You have to make weapons to fend from enemies and wild animals. You need to garden and mine to gain resources and do whatever else you need to do to survive the night.

The game is developed by ColdGames which is made up of one developer. This is ColdGames first game on Steam.

Early access is a funding model in the video game industry by which consumers can pay for a game in the early stages of development and obtain access to incomplete, alpha or beta versions of the game, while the developer is able to use those funds to continue work on the game.

The goal of the game is to integrate the kinds of base-resource micro-management typically found in RTS titles, into a boots-on-the-ground shooter. Each base has an underlying economy of power and raw materials that must be maintained and expanded in order to rise in dominance.

The first thing you should do in the game is make a shelter.
